Talmo Public Library is kicking off the Summer Reading Program on Wednesday, June 3, 2015. Children ages Birth to eleven can win a variety of prizes for reading books. To get started, bring your child to the library today (starting June 3) to pick up a reading log based on number of books or hours read (depending on their reading level). In addition to the prizes awarded for summer reading achievements at the library, children can bring their library reading log to school with them in the fall to receive additional prizes there (Jackson County Elementary Schools).
Talmo Public Library will have a series of special events, held at the library, including magic shows, Superhero Training Camps, movies, Petting Zoos, and art and writing workshops. Bookmark this site or “Like” Talmo Public Library on Facebook to stay connected.
Each child, upon reaching reading goals, could receive stickers, certificates, pencils, finger puppets, wrist bands, and a coupon for a free small milkshake from Talmo Market Grill. For each reading achievement, their name will be placed into a drawing for a brand new Kindle Fire HD 6! Children can also earn an additional entry for attending at least 6 events held at Talmo Public Library. We will draw the winning name on July 22, 2015 at the Pete the Cat Finale Party (neither you nor your child are required to be present to win but we sure would love to celebrate with you).

We are proud to announce that the addition to Larry Joe Wood Memorial Park is finally complete and open to the public!
We ask our community to help us keep the park a safe, clean, and family friendly park. We can do this by cleaning up our own disposables and taking care of our surroundings. We have cameras that overlook the park for safety measures.
We hope to be a safe haven for your children and grandchildren for years to come. We can’t do it without you!
